Freeweaver Studio is a contemporary weaving and textile studio in London, specialising in handwoven textiles created on traditional Japanese floor looms.

Founded by textile artist Erna Janine, the studio is dedicated to the development of contemporary textile practice through workshops, artist residencies, exhibitions, commissions and collaborative projects. Alongside an extensive public programme, Freeweaver Studio supports artists, designers, researchers and cultural organisations exploring the creative potential of cloth.

Working with natural fibres, innovative weaving techniques and a growing collection of Japanese floor looms, the studio provides a space where making, research and education come together in a professional creative environment.
